Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 27: On the directions of the Worthy Excise Commissioner, J&K, Subash Chander Chhibber (JKAS ) and under the supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Sanjay Bhat, ETO, City Excise Range South Jammu Ankit Gupta with the cooperation of Principal and Management of the Cooperative Public Hr. Sec. School Marble Market, Jammu and Bharat Vikas Parishad (NGO), the Jammu & Kashmir Excise Department, City Excise Range South(Sub Range East) Jammu organised sports events i.e. Cricket and Football matches under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. In the sports events the teams played with absolute passion, fervor and enthusiasm. The Winning and Runner up teams were awarded with trophies, certificates of appreciation and medals besides refreshments for all the players and participants. The harmful effects of drug addiction were highlighted by the students through skits prepared by them for the occassion. Certificates of participation were given to all the participants. Further, students took an oath to stay away from drugs and prevent their peers from falling victim to drugs. During the event, Principal smt. Jyoti Chib staff members and student of Cooperative public Hr. Sec. School marble market Jammu and Inspectors of Excise department and other excise officials of City Excise Range South, Jammu were also present. Jyoti Chib and Arun Goswami in their addresses highlighted the ill effects of drug addiction. The entire ceremony was graced by the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive) Jammu and in his address emphasized on the slogan 'Say no to drugs and Yes to Life'. The gathering appreciated the efforts of Excise Department in generating awareness among the students regarding ill effects of the drugs abuse and to motivate them to participate in different sports activities for a better and healthier tomorrow. |
