THANNAMANDI, Nov 28: In connection with the series of activities being organized at Govt. Degree College Thannamandi to commemorate 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution of India, the Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the Literary Activities Committee, conducted a special screening of the documentary titled "The Making of the Indian Constitution" sourced from the official YouTube channel of Sansad TV under the guidance of Principal Dr Farooq Ahmed. The event aimed to enhance constitutional awareness among students and to provide them with deeper insights into the historical journey, debates, challenges, and visionary leadership that shaped the Constitution of India. The event began with the welcome address of Prof Supriya Gupta following the screening of the documentary offering a comprehensive narrative on the formation and functioning of the Constituent Assembly, the pivotal role of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, and the extensive debates that shaped the final draft of the Constitution. A large number of students along with faculty members attended the programme. |
