Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 28: To promote the traditional culture of J&K , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan mounts 3 days special campaign on nasha mukat bharat to say 'No To Drugs', in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Govt of India and Social Welfare Dept Jammu and presented two Cultural Programs in its Friday Series Musical Play " EKTA KA DIYA " at its Govt. Boys high School , Simbal camp & Govt. Girls High School, Simbal camp , Zone Miran Sahib R.S. Pura Jammu. The function was inaugurated by Headmaster Mr. Kuldeep Raj Sharma , Govt. Boys high School , Simbal camp & Headmaster Mrs. Anu Sharma, GHSS Majua, Bishnah Jammu. Among the Guest of Honors present were Naryan Baru , Charanjeet Kour, Maninder Kour were the Guest of Honor. The programe was commenced with Nasha Mukat Pledge & songs on theme were " Ekta Ka Diya ", " Suno Suno Bharat walo Hum Sab Ek Saman Hai " , "Nasha na Karna Man lo Kehna " , " Anekta mai Ekta Ka Dikhta Naya Sandesh ", " Nasha Na Karna " which was written, produced & Directed by Dr.M.L.dogra and music was composed by Sh.M.C. Kotwal, Secty BLSKS . The Chief Guest said, Drug Addiction is emerging to be a serious concern in the country, especially in the younger generation leading to dangerous consequences not just for the person using drugs, but on the family and society at large. Drug abuse has resulted in an increase in crime rate and had an overall detrimental impact on society. Prevention has proven to be the most effective strategy to counter this problem. The program was also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples. Earlier welcome address of Dr. M.L.Dogra, Chairman, said every year on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan is a flagship campaign to enhance the evidence based approach towards substance abuse. The approach of the Abhiyaan is contemporary to engage youth and comprehensive to converge the activities done by all the stakeholders for a common goal of making India free of substance abuse. It is a national initiative focused on achieving a Drug-Free India. It actively involves youth, women, and community members, with particular emphasis on higher education institutions, youth clubs, and women's groups. The campaign aims to spread awareness about the dangers of substance abuse, reaching out to every citizen. Through early prevention and community engagement, this movement strives to foster a healthier and happier society, encouraging a collective effort towards eliminating substance abuse. Encourage Responsible Behaviour, It will instill a sense of responsibility among participants to stay away from drugs and Promote Unity and Commitment: The pledge ceremony will foster a sense of unity and collective purpose among participants, encouraging them to work together towards a common goal. Empower Youth, As the youth are the backbone of our nation's progress, this initiative will empower youth to contribute actively to developing a drug-free society. |
