Early Times Report REASI, Nov 28: To assess the prevailing security scenario and further strengthen on-ground preparedness, SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, JKPS, along with Addl. SP Reasi Iftkhar Ahmed, JKPS, SDPO Mahore Parul Bhardwaj, SHO Mahore Insp. Jeet Singh, and I/C PP Dewal PSI Sawar Hussain, conducted an extensive visit to the far-flung area of Police Post Dewal. During the visit, SSP Reasi interacted with the police personnel deployed at PP Dewal and thoroughly reviewed the existing infrastructure. He inspected the availability and condition of arms, ammunition, and other ancillary equipment crucial for sustaining a high level of operational readiness in the region. Acknowledging the challenging and terrain-sensitive environment of Dewal, SSP Reasi emphasized the need for frequent mock drills, long-range patrols and Cordon & Search Operations (CASO). He underlined that such exercises significantly enhance operational preparedness and ensure an effective response to any emerging security threat. He further directed officers to maintain strict surveillance on Over Ground Workers (OGWs), enhance police-public connect, and keep a vigilant eye on weather-induced migratory movements, which may influence the security landscape. SSP Reasi also interacted with local residents, including students, religious scholars and other respectable members of the Dewal area, and assured them of the police's continuous efforts to maintain peace and security. Reiterating the District Police's unwavering commitment, SSP Paramvir Singh stated that Reasi Police remain dedicated to preserving peace across the district and affirmed that no leniency will be shown towards any anti-national elements attempting to disturb the harmony of the region.
