| AHA, Govt Medical College organize PDMP | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 28: Academy of Hospital Administration AHA Jammu Chapter in Association with Government Medical College Jammu & Nursing Council J&K organised One Day State Level Professional Development Management Programme (PDMP) on 26 nov 2025 for Doctors, Nursing and other Health care Professionals of Jammu Region at Dr N 5 Pathania Conference Hall Government Medical College Jammu.
The Professional Development Management Programme (PDMP) was Inaugurated by Dr Yashpal Sharma Executive Director SMVDIME Kakrayal Katra J&K who was the Chief Guest of the Programme.
In his Inaugural address, he stressed upon the delegates that Such Professional Development Management Programmes are meant for enhancing the Administrative, Communication, Management and Clinical Skills of healthcare professionals working in different areas of the health care in health facilities, offices as well as in the community on screening and prevention of various diseases.
Prof (Dr) Ashutosh Gupta Principal & Dean Government Medical College Jammu in his address appreciated the Academy of Hospital Administration AHA for taking such innovative academic initiatives in the past and also as on now to boost skills of the health care professionals in associated hospitals of all the Government Medical Colleges and other health institutions of the Health & Family Department. He also assured full administrative and other support in conducting such training programmes and capacity building of nursing professionals working in emergencies and other critical areas.
Prof (Dr) A S Bhatia Principal GMC Rajouri who was the Guest of Honour congratulated to Academy of Hospital Administration AHA under the guidance of Dr Yashpal Sharma for taking such programmes in mission mode across the Country & UT of J&K.
He also assured for Conducting of PDMP at GMC Rajouri for Peer Panchal Region where he and his health care professionals are facing lot of challenges in patients health care due to so many reasons.
Dr Rabinder Rattanpal President AHA Jammu Chapter in his welcome address congratulated Prof (Dr) Ashutosh Gupta Principal GMC, Nursing Council J&K and AHA Jammu chapter for great support in organising this programme.
The inaugural programme among other was also attended by Dr Satish Sharma Executive Director AHA Jammu Chapter, Dr Sandeep Singh Registrar Nursing Council, Dr V K Gupta, Dr Reddy, Dr Neelam Kotwal and other Members of AHA. Around 175 Delegates from various Health Institutions of Jammu Region attended the day long Conference.
The inaugural programme among other was also attended by Dr Satish Sharma Executive Director AHA Jammu Chapter, Dr Sandeep Singh Registrar Nursing Council, Dr. V K Gupta, Dr Reddy, Dr Neelam Kotwal and other Members of AHA. The Vote of thanks were delivered by Dr Shaista Ganai General Secretary AHA Jammu Chapter.
The One Day State Level Professional Development Management Programme (PDMP) had 6 Technical Sessions.
The session on Infection Prevention Control in Hospitals" was taken by Dr Beena Jad Assistant Professor Microbiology SMVDIME Kakrayal and was Moderated by Prof (Dr )Nusrat Jabeen Professor Anatomy GMC & Principal College of Nursing Gangyal GMC Jammu, Dr Shaista Ganai Nodal officer Sir Col. Chopra Nursing Home on" Patient Safety" which was moderated by Dr Sandeep Singh Registrar Nursing Council J&K. Dr Shelly Mahajan Senior Anaesthetist (Directorate of Health Services Jammu) on "First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), Dr V k Gupta Former SMO Polio project WHO was her Moderator.
Dr Yashpal Sharma Executive Director SMVDIME Kakrayal Katra took session on ' Communication Skills and Barriers" and the session was moderated by Prof (Dr) Harleen Kaur department of Microbiology GMC Jammu.
Ms S Shyalja Head of Nursing Services and IP Operations SMVDIME NSSH on Leadership in Health care" and was moderated by Dr Rehana Khurshid Medical Superintendent Super speciality Hospital Jammu. Prof (Dr) Abdul Ghani HOU, Orthopaedic GMC Jammu took session on " Medical Negligence and it was moderated by Dr Rakesh Sharma Medical Superintendent CD Hospital Jammu..
The Valedictory Function was Presided over by Dr Satish Sharma Executive Director AHA Jammu Chapter and was attended by Prof (Dr) Abdul Ghani GMC Jammu, Dr Rabinder Rattanpal President AHA Jammu Chapter, Dr Shelly Mahajan, Dr Neelam Kotwal AP, Dr Shaista Ganai, Dr Arun Kumar where in certificates were awarded to all the participants. Special appreciations and outstanding support was extended to personal section of Principal GMC Jammu, Administrative and Finance Division of GMC Jammu, Nursing Council Jammu, IT cell, Security and Sanitation, Students of AMT & BSc Nursing School / College Jammu.
The entire programme proceedings were conducted by Mr Sadiq Khan National Trainer and Programme Coordinator. |
