Three-day Spiritual Sojourn of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Adhokshajanand Devteerth Ji Maharaj concludes

JAMMU, Nov 30: The three-day visit of the revered Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Adhokshajanand Devteerth Ji Maharaj - Peethadheeshwar of Govardhan Math Puri, the supreme seat of the Sanatan spiritual tradition - concluded with a remarkable blend of spiritual vibrance, nationalism, and social harmony.
Day 1: Tribute Ceremony in the Land of Dogra Valour
A grand tribute programme was organized on the 38th Punyatithi of the legendary statesman and "Guardian of India's Unity" Late Shri Girdhari Lal Dogra Ji in the divine presence of Shankaracharya Ji Maharaj.
In his spiritual address, Shankaracharya Ji said: The life of Girdhari Lal Dogra Ji was devoted to public welfare, not power.
'Janani Janmabhoomishcha Swargadapi Gariyasi' - this was the guiding mantra of his life."
He also inspired the youth to actively contribute to nation-building.
Mah Yagya for National Welfare at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan
Following the tribute ceremony, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Ji proceeded to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan, Katra.
He performed a special Mahamantrochcharan and Yagya seeking:
* Continuous progress of the Nation
* Lasting peace and development in Jammu & Kashmir
* Universal wellbeing and harmony
The Bhawan echoed with vibrant chants of "Jai Mata Di", infusing a profound devotional spirit among pilgrims.
Day 2: Address to Devotees at Hiranagar
A massive gathering welcomed the Shankaracharya Ji at Hiranagar.
He said Wherever the flow of public welfare emerges, that land becomes the true Karma Bhoomi. Late Dogra Ji transformed this region into a centre of service and people's upliftment."
His message strengthened social unity, duty consciousness, and national resolve.
Day 3: Visit to Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan, Basohli - Guidance on Vedic Culture
At Basohli, Shankaracharya Ji was welcomed with a Purnakumbh and Vedic chants by students, Acharyas, and residents.
Shri Shakti Pathak, Managing Director of the Institute, performed the ceremonial worship of the 2,500-year-old holy Charan Padukas of Adya Guru Shankaracharya.
Jagadguru Ji emphasized: Sanskrit is the soul of India - the foundation of our civilization, science, spirituality, and nationalism. Without Sanskrit, India's identity remains incomplete."
He blessed the students for excellence in Vedic studies and called for preserving India's ancient spiritual heritage.
Prior to the event, he also visited and reviewed the new building under construction at the Sansthan and prayed for its progress and bright future.
