JAMMU, Nov 30: Cross Swords Gunners, in association with the Indian Armed Forces, successfully conducted an engaging Career Guidance Program at Government Higher Secondary School, Chowki Chowra. The session, themed "Intro to a Life Less Ordinary," aimed at encouraging young minds to explore the diverse officer entry pathways into the Indian Armed Forces. The program provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about the values of honour, discipline and dedicated service to the nation. Through an interactive and informative session, the students were introduced to the various avenues for joining the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, including the National Defence Academy (NDA), Combined Defence Services (CDS) and direct entry schemes for aspiring officers. The initiative, led by experienced military personnel, was designed to motivate and inspire students to pursue careers that not only promise personal growth but also contribute to the security and strength of the nation. It also highlighted the various challenges and rewards of a career in the armed forces, emphasizing leadership, teamwork and the sense of pride that comes with serving the country.
