Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 30: The Jammu & Kashmir Go Team secured the 2nd Runner-Up Trophy at the 3rd National Go Championship held in Puri, Odisha from 23rd to 26th November 2025. A total of 15 states participated in the event, which was hosted by the Amateur Go Association Odisha under the banner of the Indo Amateur Go Association India. All participating players from J&K competed in the Sub-Junior Under-12 category, showcasing excellent skill and teamwork to earn the 2nd runner-up position. The President of the Odisha Olympic Association graced the event as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Manoj, General Secretary of Indo Amateur Go Association India, was also present on the occasion. A special felicitation was given to Mr. Sunny Nanda, General Secretary of the J&K association, for his continuous efforts and contribution to promoting the sport. On this occasion, Mrs. Pooja Malhotra congratulated all the players and their parents and extended her best wishes for upcoming events. At the conclusion of the championship, Mr. Manoj, General Secretary of the Indo Amateur Go Association India, nominated Mr. Sunny Nanda as an Executive Member of the national body. |
