Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 30: A young brigade of Jammu and Kashmir fencers dominated the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) fencing event held in Kota, Rajasthan, securing numerous medals in the competition organized by the Khelo India wing of the Sports Authority of India in collaboration with the Rajasthan Government and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Thirteen fencers of Jammu and Kashmir represented university of Jammu and GNDU participated in KIUG-25, collectively winning 04 Gold, 03 Silver, and 02 Bronze medals, helping their respective institutions secure top honors. The J&K contingent played a significant role in Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, becoming the overall champion, while the cluster of J&K-based participants earned the overall runner-up trophy for their respective universities. Key Medal Winners and Achievements: University of Jammu (JU) Fencers: Harshit Kohli secured an individual Gold medal in the Men's Sabre event. The Men's Sabre team (comprising Harshit Kohli, Vatsal Gandotra, Suryansh Sharma, and Tarun Salaria) won the team Silver medal. Shivansh Kapoor won an individual Bronze medal in the Men's Epee event. The Women's Sabre team (comprising Chhavi Sharma, Ashu Kumari, Nancy, and Divya) won the team Bronze medal. J&K Fencers Representing Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar: Ace Sabre fencer Shriya Gupta won an individual Silver medal and a Gold medal in the Women's Sabre team event. Sufiyan Waheed Sohail won an individual Silver medal and a team Gold medal. Rishika Khajuria won a team Gold medal in the Women's Sabre event. Mayank sharma Won sabre team Gold represented GNDU .
