Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 8: Under the nationwide campaign being run to promote the use of indigenous products, BJP spokesperson and former Vice Chairman Balbir Ram Rattan further accelerated the Swadeshi awareness drive in his ward today. He personally visited various houses in Ward 16, pasted posters reading "Har Ghar Swadeshi - Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi", and appealed to families to prioritize local and domestic products. He also explained in detail the importance of this campaign.
Continuing his public outreach, Balbir Ram Rattan said that Swadeshi is not merely a slogan or a movement, but a strong foundation of nation-building on which the dream of a self-reliant India stands. He clarified that when we give priority to goods manufactured in our own country, it not only strengthens the nation's economy but also increases new employment opportunities for local industries, small traders, artisans, and youth. By adopting Swadeshi, the money circulates within the country itself, doubling the pace of economic growth.
He further said that although the present era is one of globalization, the path to self-reliance still lies through Swadeshi. If every family resolves to first choose products made in India, the country will become even stronger economically. He described this not just as a matter of purchasing but as a pledge for the nation's progress, honor, and self-respect.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that adopting Swadeshi is not a symbol of sacrifice but a meaningful effort to honor our culture, our soil, our artisans, and hardworking people. Today, India offers high-quality products in every sector, from the textile industry to electronics, from agricultural goods to handicrafts. In such a scenario, buying Swadeshi is not only easy but also most beneficial for the nation.
During this campaign, local residents appreciated his efforts and took an pledged to adopt Swadeshi. Balbir especially encouraged youth, students, and housewives to identify Swadeshi products, promote them, and include them in their daily lives.
He said that this campaign will succeed only when people stop considering it merely a programme and make it a part of their lifestyle. Small efforts together bring big changes, and if Swadeshi is genuinely adopted, India will emerge even faster as an economic power on the global stage in the coming times.
