Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Dec 8: Continuing its relentless drive against anti-social elements and illegal activities, District Police Kishtwar successfully foiled a bovine smuggling attempt and rescued 08 bovine animals in the Chatroo area. Police party of Police Post Patimahal was conducting routine patrolling duty in the Bhandarkot area. During the patrol, the team intercepted a person carrying 08 bovine animals on foot towards Kashmir for illegal sale via the Chatroo route. Upon questioning, the individual was identified as Peer Bakhsh S/o Mohd Ayoub R/o Bhata, Sigdi, Tehsil Mughalmaidan, District Kishtwar. The person failed to produce any valid permission for the transportation of the animals. Accordingly, case FIR No. 248/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PC Act* has been registered, and the investigation taken up. SSP Kishtwar, have reiterated their commitment to curb the menace of bovine smuggling in the district. Strict action will continue against those involved in such unlawful activities to ensure peace, harmony, and enforcement of the law in the region. |
