early times report

Jammu, Dec 12: The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, YCET, organised an extensive and highly insightful industrial visit to RVS iGlobal Jammu for the students of the 1st and 7th semester. This initiative was part of the institute’s continuous efforts to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and provide students with practical exposure that complements their theoretical foundation.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Sandeep Sharma, COO of RVS iGlobal, who addressed them with an inspiring and informative session. He highlighted the rapid transformation of the IT sector, the rising importance of new-age technologies such as AI, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Full-Stack Development, and Data Analytics, and the need for students to consistently upgrade their skills. His motivational interaction encouraged students to approach their careers with dedication, curiosity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
The industrial visit was supervised and guided by a dedicated team of faculty members, including Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics; Er. Anupreet Singh, Head of Department, CSE; Er. Anshu Sharma, Assistant Professor; and Er. Arushi Tandon, Assistant Professor. Their valuable insights during the visit helped students connect industry observations with their classroom learning.
Throughout the visit, students were exposed to key operational areas at RVS Global:
- Software Development & Project Workflow
- IT Infrastructure & Network Operations
- Client Interaction & Project Management
- Emerging Technologies
- Professional Ethics & Work Culture
The interactive Q&A sessions allowed students to clarify doubts, understand industry expectations, and explore future career pathways. Many students expressed that the visit gave them a clearer understanding of how IT companies operate and what skills they must acquire to excel in the competitive job market.
The management of YCET congratulated the CSE Department for taking this valuable initiative. Such visits play a crucial role in bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application, ensuring that students are industry-ready and confident in stepping into professional environments.
The visit concluded with a note of appreciation to Mr. Sandeep Sharma and the entire RVS Global team for their hospitality, support, and willingness to share their knowledge with the students. The experience proved highly motivating and educational, leaving a lasting impact on the participants.
