Thannamandi, Dec 12: Govt. Degree College Thannamandi organizes awareness campaign to mark the observance of National Energy Conservation Day that is celebrated on 14th December every year to reaffirm our commitment towards the judicious use of energy. The programme was organized by IQAC, NSS, and NCC Units of the college under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. Farooq Ahmed. As part of the observance, all the students, faculty members, NSS volunteers, and NCC cadets took a pledge to conserve energy in their daily lives. The pledge focused on minimizing electricity wastage, encouraging the use of renewable energy, switching off lights and appliances when not in use, and motivating others to follow energy-saving practices. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Farooq Ahmed emphasized the importance of creating awareness among youth regarding responsible energy consumption and sustainable living. The event concluded with a collective commitment from the entire college fraternity to work towards sustainable development and responsible use of energy resources.
