Jammu, Dec 12: Today on 12th December, 2025 the Government Degree College has organized a pledge taking event in the College on the way to celebration of National Energy Conservation Day that is observed on 14th December every year across the country under the able guidance of worthy Principal Dr. T.K. Sharma & under the banner of IQAC and in supervision of the Viksit Bharat@2047 committee of the college. The event started with the addressing of Principal, Dr. T. K Sharma to the present audience & the students that youth are key stakeholders in promoting sustainable energy behaviour and disseminating knowledge within the wider communities. Principal Sir had emphasized on our collective commitment towards judicious use of energy, minimising wastage, and adopting energy-efficient practices in daily life, so that we could contribute meaningfully towards sustainable development goals. After that, Ms. Fiza Bhau the student of B.A. semester- I had read the “Energy Conservation Pledge” shared by the Office of the Chief Electrical Inspector. About 50 students and faculty members had taken the pledge.
