Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 12: In a major action reflecting Jammu Police, South Zone's firm stance against narcotics trafficking, PS Gangyal achieved a significant breakthrough after a deployed naka team intercepted a vehicle transporting heroin. Under the close supervision of SP South, SDPO South, and SHO Gangyal, a routine naka was established at Purmandal Morh. The alert team led by PSI Ashish Razdan noticed a Swift car (JK08C-8781) moving hurriedly and signaled it to stop. Acting swiftly, the police detained the occupants and conducted a thorough search of the vehicle. The operation led to the recovery of 340 grams of heroin and the arrest of the following individuals: Imam Hussain S/o Mohd Shafi R/o Beli Charana Mushtaq Ali S/o Kashim Din R/o Arnia Manshu Khan S/o Fateh Mohd R/o Camp Gole Gujral Kheriya Farooq Mohd S/o Hazoor Hussain R/o Arnia Mohd Manshu S/o Sher Ali R/o Arnia A digital weighing machine was also seized from their possession. In this regard, FIR No. 126/2025 under Sections 8, 21, 22, 27(A), and 29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gangyal, and further investigation is underway.
