JAMMU, Dec 12: FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) today announced the appointment of Rakesh Bhat as Co-Chair of the FICCI Jammu & Kashmir State Council in 2025 - 2026.
Rakesh Bhat is a distinguished industrialist and visionary leader with over three decades of entrepreneurial excellence in the manufacturing sector. As the Founder and Managing Director of the Shalimar Group of Companies - comprising Shalimar Carpet Industries, Shalimar Floorings Pvt. Ltd., and Shalimar Carpet Manufacturing & Cleaning Co. - he has been instrumental in modernizing the carpet industry in Jammu & Kashmir. As Co-Chair the FICCI, Rakesh Bhat will lead initiatives aimed at driving reforms, manufacturing-led sustainable growth, skill development, technology adoption, and self-reliance in key sectors.
