Leadership Summit at Thapar School of Management

Jammu, Dec 13: During the time when world is witnessing tremendous volatility and uncertainty, LM Thapar School of Management organized a Leadership Summit to discuss and deliberate how leaders can “Lead with Purpose in the Age of Transformation” at Derabassi campus on December 12, 2025.
This summit brought together academia and accomplished industry professionals to explore how leadership is evolving in a world defined by continuous and dynamic changes.
Industry leaders participated in three panel discussions, each focusing on a critical dimension of modern leadership: empowerment-driven leadership styles, organizational resilience, and responsible human-centred digital transformation. These deliberations not only informed the audience but also inspired new ways of thinking about leadership in today’s dynamic environment.
Prof. D.P. Goyal, Director and Dean, LM Thapar School of Management delivered the welcome address and formally open the summit, which was followed by the first panel discussion titled, The Future of Leadership: From Control to Empowerment. Aniruddha Mookherjee, HR Head, Bunge; Ms. Neetu Prabhakar — HR Head, Panacea Biotech; Sanjeev Kumar Pathania — VP HR & Country Manager, Basware; and Teevrta Kaul — HR Head, Net Solutions explored how leadership is evolving from traditional authority-driven systems toward trust, autonomy, and empowerment.
The second panel deliberated upon important theme of “Building Resilient Organizations in Uncertain Times.” Avinash Singh — Head of Strategy & International Sales, Toppan Specialty Films; Paramveer Pupneja — Associate Director, Talent Acquisition, Fitelo; Yamini Mehta — HR Head, Grazitti Interactive; and Shaguna Khetarpal — Founder, Zentroid focused on how organizations can anticipate change, adapt rapidly, and build cultures that are agile, people-centric, and capable of thriving even in volatile environments.
The third and final panel comprising Harshita Batra — HR Head, Finvasia; Atif Khan — Vice President, AI/ML Practice, Netsmartz; Shobitash Jamwal — AVP, Performance & Rewards Partner, HDFC Bank; and Jalaj Sharma — Associate Director, People, Watermark deliberated upon the dynamics concerning “AI and Well-being: Leading Responsible, Human-Centred Digital Transformation.”
The panelists explored how organizations can harness the power of AI and digital technologies while safeguarding human values, well-being, and ethical leadership.
The panel discussions were ably moderated by Prof. Sandeep Goyal, Dr. Aastha Dhoopar, and Mr. Siddaqpreet Singh. The insights derived from the summit will help the institute to prepare MBA students as future leaders who can build organizations, which can endure and flourish even amidst uncertainty.
