GGHSS Rehari concludes inspiring Three-Day Activity Camp with Focus on Youth Empowerment

Jammu, Dec 14: The NSS unit of Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Rehari successfully wrapped up its vibrant three-day regular activities camp today, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and teachers alike.
The programme commenced on a ceremonial note with the worthy Principal Sh Jyoti Parkash cutting the ribbon, officially inaugurating the event amid cheers from the gathered volunteers. Organized by NSS Programme Officer Sh Sachin Goel to foster social awareness, creativity, and personal development among the youth, the camp featured a dynamic lineup of events that blended artistic expression, expert lectures, and motivational sessions.
The camp kicked off with engaging creative activities, including slogan writing, skit performances, poster making, essay writing competitions, and soulful singing sessions.
These events not only showcased the students' talents but also highlighted key themes like environmental conservation, gender equality, and community service—core pillars of the NSS initiative.
Adding a practical edge, the camp included a special visit from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team, who demonstrated disaster preparedness techniques and shared real-life rescue stories, equipping participants with vital life-saving skills. Mental health took center stage with an insightful lecture by Dr. Romesh Sharma, who addressed stress management and emotional resilience in today's fast-paced world. Sh Goldi Walia delivered a hard-hitting session on the dangers of drug abuse, urging students to make informed choices for a healthier future.A team of doctors from Sarwal Hospital conducted an interactive lecture on overall well-being and hands-on training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), empowering attendees to respond effectively in emergencies.
The event reached its emotional peak with a rousing motivational speech by the worthy Principal, Sh Jyoti Parkash. He urged the students to channel their energies into nation-building, saying, "True leaders are not born in comfort zones but forged through selfless service—go forth and make a difference in every corner of society." His words left the audience inspired and charged for future NSS endeavors.Senior Lecturers Ms. Rashmi Sharma and Anju Bala graced the occasion as chief guests, commending the participants' zeal.
The proceedings concluded on a grateful note with a comprehensive vote of thanks by Sh Tilak Raj Sharma, who praised Sh Sachin Goel's meticulous organization, the experts' valuable contributions, and the volunteers' unwavering dedication.
He emphasized, "This camp is a testament to our collective spirit—together, we've sown seeds of change that will bloom for generations."Volunteers including students, along with dedicated teachers—Ms. Payal Mahajan, Ms. Shivani Sharma, Sh Komal Bhasin, Sh Romesh Chander, Ms. Sunita Sharma, Sh Ajay Gupta, Ms. Asha, Sh Yash Pal, and Sh Goldi Walia—participated wholeheartedly, ensuring the camp's success. Refreshments were served to all students, adding a celebratory touch.
The camp not only enriched the participants' skills but also reinforced GGHSS Rehari's commitment to holistic education through NSS programs, with programme officers visionary organization setting a benchmark for community-driven initiatives in Jammu.
