Bhopal, Dec 21: Under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the West Zone Inter-University Volleyball (Men) Championship 2025–26, being hosted by LNCT University, Bhopal at its Kolar Road campus, has now reached its decisive stage. In the Pool ‘C’ pre-quarterfinal match, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer defeated Karmaveer University, Satara by 3–1 to advance to the quarterfinals. In the subsequent quarterfinal encounter, Shri Kaushal Das University delivered an impressive performance, defeating Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer 3–0 to secure a place in the top four. Meanwhile, in the Pool ‘D’ pre-quarterfinal match, Parul University defeated Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay University, Sikar 3–0 to move into the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinal match, Parul University continued its strong run by defeating Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune 3–0, thereby confirming its spot in the top four. Earlier, Lok Jagruti University and Manipal University had already secured their places in the top four. Now, league-format matches will be played among the four top teams, further adding to the excitement of the championship. For the smooth and successful conduct of the tournament, the Organising Committee has appointed Pranav Majumdar as the Competition Director and P. S. Thakur as the Technical Director. The matches are being broadcast live through FGSN, enabling sports enthusiasts across the country to enjoy the action live. |
