| Child welfare committee conducted safety awareness program | | |  Early Times Report
Poonch, Dec 22: In view of the safety and well-being of school-going children, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Poonch has organized an interaction-cum-awareness session for school bus drivers and cleaners.
The initiative aims to ensure strict adherence to safety norms and legal guidelines while transporting children.
During the session the Chairperson of the child welfare committee Poonch Mr.Rohit Khajuria sensitized the drivers and cleaners about their legal responsibilities, safety precautions, and child protection measures. The programme also includes awareness on provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Supreme Court guidelines, and transport safety rules applicable to school vehicles.
The committee has emphasized that safety of children during transportation is a collective responsibility and any negligence may attract legal consequences.
The principal of Christ School Degwar FR.Linju ML has been requested to ensure dissemination of information to the stakeholders to prevent any incident which harms the school children.
In his address he assured full cooperation and will implement the guide lines issued by the honour able Supreme court of india from time to time.
The CWC has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding children and called upon all stakeholders to actively cooperate in implementing child safety measures.
