Early Times Report DODA, Dec 30: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Doda Police have apprehended another drug paddler and recovered a charas-like substance weighing approximately 100-150 grams from his possession. Today, on 30.12.2025, a police of Police Station Bhaderwah was on patrolling duty in Bhaderwah Bazar and during patrolling, intercepted one suspicious person at near Fiza Hotel Bhaderwah. Upon being stopped, the individual attempted to evade the police party but was promptly apprehended. During checking, charas-like substance, weighing around 140 grams (approximately). The accused has been identified as Naresh Kumar S/O Kasturi Lal R/O Gulu top Kahara A/P near Fire Station Bhaderwah District Doda. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 163/2025 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah, and investigation has been taken up. The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta,JKPS, SDPO Bhaderwah Sh Naveed Qazi and IC PS Bhaderwah Sh Rinku Sharam. SSP Doda has appealed the general public to keep eye on such persons and provide information of illegal or any kind of drug selling /addiction so that stringent action could be taken against the drug peddlers. District Police Doda, under the supervision of SSP Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta-JKPS, continues its proactive efforts to eliminate the menace of drug trafficking and ensure a drug-free society in the district. |
