Jammu/Srinagar, Jan 09: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) successfully concluded a series of 21 Capacity Building Programmes (CBPs) for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs under Mission YUVA across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 224 aspiring entrepreneurs and youth across the various districts of the Union Territory were trained in these programmes. These programmes were organized as part of JKEDI’s sustained efforts to promote entrepreneurship, self-employment, and skill development among the youth. The Capacity Building initiatives under Mission YUVA aim to equip participants with essential entrepreneurial knowledge, practical skills, and exposure to business planning, market opportunities, financial literacy, and government support schemes. The curriculum was tailored to provide practical, actionable knowledge on opportunity identification, business plan formulation, financial literacy, market analysis, branding, regulatory compliance, and accessing government support schemes. The sessions were conducted by JKEDI faculty alongside industry specialists, ensuring interactive and outcome oriented learning. Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan) is a flagship initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship led employment across the Union Territory of J&k . It forms a key pillar of the Government’s commitment to empower the youth by nurturing a strong ecosystem for innovation, startups, and enterprise development. These training programmes were conducted in the month of December, 2025 by JKEDI reiterating its commitment to strengthen the entrepreneurial landscape in Jammu & Kashmir. Through Mission YUVA, the Institute continues to provide young entrepreneurs with the skills, confidence, and ecosystem support needed to generate new economic opportunities across the UT.
