Rajouri, Jan 9: The 10th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day, is being celebrated at Rajouri, Jammu & Kashmir on 13 & 14 January 2026, under the aegis of Headquarters Dhruva Command, to honour the Armed Forces Veterans and Veer Naris. The two-day event is expected to bring together thousands of veterans, veer naris and their families from Rajouri, Poonch, Noushera & Sunderbani. The event will commence with the ‘Flagging In Ceremony of Dhruva Motorcycle Rally’ which was flagged off at Udhampur on 05 Jan 26. The event will also include unveiling of the ‘Wall of Fame’, showcasing the heroic contributions of soldiers from the Rajouri-Poonch region. Other attractions include a paragliding display and cultural performances. A Veterans Sahayata Kendra and a dedicated Police Helpline for veterans will also be inaugurated during the two day event. As a special gesture, mobility equipments like motorised wheelchairs, E-scooters and autorickshaws will be distributed to the veterans. The event aims to reaffirm the Indian Army’s enduring bond with its veterans and reiterate the Nation’s commitment to their welfare, dignity and honour.
