Students of Biotechnology from GDC Kathua excel in Idea Pitching Competition at IIIM (CSIR), Jammu

JAMMU, Jan 19: Students of Biotechnology, GDC, Kathua, Samiksha Mussa (Sem-4) and Sakshi Parle (Sem 6) clinched Second and Third Prize respectively in Idea Pitching Competition on the occasion of National Start-up Day, organized by Bionest Bioincubation Centre, Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR), Jammu. The event aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and start-up culture among young scholars witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various institutions . The innovative ideas and entrepreneurial acumen demonstrated by Samiksha and Sakshi earned them accolades from the jury and brought laurels to the institution. In recognition of their commendable achievement, the Principal of the college, Dr. Manohar Lal, felicitated the students and congratulated them for their hard work, creativity, and dedication and also encouraged them to continue striving for excellence and to actively contribute to the nation's innovation ecosystem. The Principal also appreciated the efforts of the faculty members for their guidance and mentorship. Dr. Ruchika Sharma, Head, Dept. of Biotechnology, Prof. Nisha Sharma, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Biotechnology also congratulated the students and appreciated their efforts. Senior faculty members of the college, Dr. Rakesh Jasrotia, Associate Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, Prof. Jagdish Kumar, Associate Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, Prof. Sandeep Choudhary, Associate Professor, Dept. of English acknowledged the students' commitment and emphasized the role of academic mentorship and teamwork in achieving such milestones. The entire college fraternity extended their heartiest congratulations to the winning students and wished them continued success in their future endeavors.
