Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 21: Congress has hit out the divisive slogans of certain forces in order to dilute the movement for restoration of Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and reiterated the demand for early restoration of full statehood to J&K at the earliest, while maintaining the geographically identity, unity and integrity of regions.
Addressing a press conference here today, JKPCC Working President Shri Raman Bhalla, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Ex-MLC Incharge HQ Ved Mahajan, Ex-legislator Th. Balbir Singh alongwith Neeraj Gupta Chief Media Coordinator and Ex-Corporator Dwarka Choudhary said that Congress stands for unity, integrity and regional identities of Jammu and Kashmir regions and fighting for restoration of full statehood to J&K at the earliest. They lashed out the divisive slogans and communal policies to dilute and weaken the movement for restoration of statehood in J&K.
They lashed out at the BJP, questioning the silence of 29 legislators and MP's for the total silence over the issue of full statehood to J&K after getting huge mandate to fight for the rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially Jammu region. But their actions are against the interests of Jammu region.
They said that closer of a premier SMUDIME after investing crores of rupees and start of session is a new gift to the youth and people of Jammu region. Instead of removing the shortcomings in the rules and norms and other deficiencies, BJP govt the full fledged closed to the disadvantage of the people. Even 300 employees future was put in dark. We demand that necessary rectifications be done to re-start the college.
Senor congress leaders also hit out at BJP and Yogi Govt. in UP for the misbehavior and insult and assault on the Shankracharya Adi-Mukteshwara Nand Ji and his followers, which shows the behavior of BJP Govt towards the Dharam
Gurus. It has hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus in the country and termed it very shameful and objectionable, for which BJP should explain,
On the issue of flood relief, JKPCC leaders lashed out at the Centre Govt. and BJP leaders for failing to provide adequate relief and ensure the rehabilitation of flood victims, even after eight months of flood tragedy. They sought immediate relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims. The Congress leaders asked the BJP legislators to take up with BJP Govt at the Centre to provide financial support for the relief and regularisation of the long pending demand of daily wagers need based/ contractual, adhoc employees and workers in J&K without delay and urged the Govt. to resolve their issues.
The leaders also expressed concern over the delay in the payment of GPF and other due, even timely salary and wages to the employees and demanded immediate attention to these issues.
They also raised the issue of security situation and expressed concern over the presence of terrorists in various parts of Jammu region too. They demanded immediate action to contain terrorism and ensure sense of security in the remote villages.
