JAMMU, Feb 21: Continuing its crackdown under Operation Kamdhenu, Jammu Rural Police foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in Khour area. During a special naka laid by Police Station Khour at Naryana near Dhaleri Bridge, a vehicle bearing registration No. JK21G-9814 coming from Pallanwala towards Rajouri was intercepted. On noticing the naka, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot, leaving behind 07 bovines. All the bovines were rescued and the vehicle seized. In this regard, FIR No. 30/2025 under Section 223 BNS and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act has been registered at Police Station Khour. |
