Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 21: A floral tribute was paid to the martyr's statue at Tushar More, with officers from 9 Para, Army personnel, family members, and a large number of civil society members paying homage to the braveheart. A large number of people from all walks of life paid tribute to Captain Tushar Mahajan (Shaurya Chakra) on his tenth death anniversary at Tushar More in Udhampur, including Trust members Asha Gupta, Kalpana Jamwal, Ranjeet Parihar, Shevtak Singh, Satish Chopra, Dr. Yogeshwar Singh, Dr. Vikram Gulati, Deepankar Gupta, and Karun Raina. On this occasion, Dev Raj Gupta, Chairman of the Tushar Memorial Trust and father of martyr Tushar Mahajan, said, "It is a matter of pride for my family that our son gave his life for the country." He said that Tushar's statue inspires all youth to work for the unity and integrity of the country. Captain Tushar made the supreme sacrifice during a counter-terrorism operation in Pampore in February 2016. During the operation, he displayed great courage and skill in eliminating terrorists hiding in a government building. |
