Samba, Feb 21: The Dogra Educational Trust (DET) achieved a significant academic milestone with the formal launch of the “International Journal of Transdisciplinary Research & Sustainability” at an impressive and intellectually enriching ceremony held at Dogra Educational Complex, Samba, Jammu. The event brought together eminent academicians, institutional leaders, members of the research community, and distinguished guests from India and abroad, both in physical and virtual presence, signifying the Trust’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation. The programme commenced with a warm and dignified welcome to the august gathering. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu, Smt. Surekha Charak Ji, Chairperson and Founder of Dogra Educational Tust; Sh. D.C Raina, Prof Ashok Aima, Member Advisory Committee, Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Tust and Patron of the Journal; Sh. Ranbir Singh Katal, Co-Patron of the Journal; Prof. Susela Devi Suppiah, Editor-in-Chief; Dr. Gaurav Sehgal, Managing Editor; members of the Academic Council and Editorial Board from national and international institutions; Dr. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges; Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean, Dogra Group of Colleges; respected Principals, faculty members, and honoured guests. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the formal beginning of the event, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance and invoking divine blessings for the success of this scholarly initiative. The moment reflected the institution’s deep-rooted belief in education as a transformative force. A heartfelt tribute was then paid to the visionary Founder, Late Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak Ji, whose ideals and foresight laid the foundation of the Dogra Educational Trust. His vision of creating a comprehensive educational ecosystem nurturing students from foundational learning to advanced scholarship continues to inspire every initiative undertaken by the Trust. The launch of the journal was described as a continuation of his mission to elevate regional education to national and international academic platforms while promoting ethical scholarship, intellectual curiosity, and value-based leadership. Following the tribute, Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Patron of the Journal and Secretary, DET, delivered his Introductory Remarks. In his address, he emphasized the pressing need for transdisciplinary research in addressing contemporary global challenges, particularly in the areas of sustainability, governance, innovation, and inclusive development.
He highlighted that the journal aims to provide a credible and ethical platform for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to engage in meaningful academic discourse. Dr. Charak underscored the Trust’s commitment of promoting culture of research excellence, transparency in peer review, and global collaboration, stating that the journal would serve as a bridge connecting local scholars with international academic communities. |
