Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 25: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining activities, Jammu (Rural) Police have detained three vehicles involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of mining minerals in different areas of the rural zone. A police party from Police Post Pounichak intercepted and detained two (02) vehicles during checking. A Tractor Trolley bearing registration No. JK02DG-4840 was found involved in illegal mining activities, while a Dumper bearing registration No. JK02BF-8196 was found loaded with sand mineral without valid Form-A. Both vehicles were detained by PP Pounichak. Meanwhile, Police Station Gharota also detained one Tractor Trolley bearing Chassis No. 2360SHGB945, which was found involved in illegal mining activities within its jurisdiction. In all the above cases, DMO Jammu has been informed accordingly for initiating further legal proceedings against the defaulters under the relevant provisions of mining laws. |
