| Multimedia Exhibition in Udhampur Enters Day 3: Focus on Women Empowerment, Financial Literacy, Inclusive Education | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 25: The five-day Multimedia Exhibition organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Field Office Udhampur, continued on the third day with awareness sessions on women empowerment, financial literacy and inclusive education. The programme began with inspection of exhibition stalls by dignitaries, followed by recitation of the National Song. Chief guest Udhay Bhanu, Principal, Bhaskar Degree College, Udhampur, highlighted the outreach efforts of the Central Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He called upon youth to move towards entrepreneurship in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Jyoti Pathania from the Social Welfare Department spoke about schemes related to women empowerment and child welfare, including Sankalp Hub and Sahali Sakhi Scheme. She urged beneficiaries to avail available support for self-employment. Anita Kumari, Special Educator, delivered a session on inclusive education and demonstrated basic sign language techniques to promote better communication with specially-abled persons. B.L. Alambardar from the State Bank of India informed participants about banking schemes supporting Startup India and encouraged youth to utilise credit facilities for enterprise development. Earlier, Gurnam Singh, Incharge CBC Udhampur, delivered the welcome address outlining the role of CBC in disseminating information on government schemes. An open quiz on welfare programmes was conducted by Vikram Uppal, Incharge CBC Doda, and prizes were distributed to winners. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ram Lal, followed by the National Anthem. Cultural performances by CBC artists and students of Government Degree College, Udhampur were also presented. |
