GDC RS Pura organizes Poster, Slogan Writing Competition on Road Safety Measures

RS PURA, Feb 26: The Road Safety Club of Government Degree College R.S. Pura, in collaboration with the NCC and NSS units of the college, organized a Poster and Slogan Writing Competition under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour,worthy Principal of the college. The event aimed to sensitize young minds about the importance of following traffic rules, adopting safe driving practices and becoming responsible citizens. A large number of enthusiastic students participated in the competition and showcased their creativity through impactful posters and thought-provoking slogans highlighting key road safety issues such as the use of helmets and seat belts, avoiding mobile phone usage while driving, controlling speed, and adhering to traffic signals.In poster making competition Rupinder Singh , Khushi Kumari, Ritik Sharma and Palak Choudhary clinched First, second and third prize respectively. In slogan writing competition Varsha Sharma, Krish Mandi and Ansh Sharma secured first, second and third prize respectively. Dr. Anupama Pandotra, HOD Zoology and Senior faculty of the college appreciated the efforts of the Road Safety Club, NCC and NSS units for organizing such a meaningful event. In her address, she emphasized that awareness is the first step toward prevention and encouraged students to act as ambassadors of road safety in society.
The whole event was coordinated by Prof. Sanjeev Upadhaya and Prof. Lukesha Dubgotra.The faculty members and organizers lauded the participants for their creativity and commitment to spreading awareness. The best entries were judged by Dr. Hari Singh, Dr. Roopali Slathia, Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch and Prof. Rajinder Singh on the basis of originality, clarity of message and artistic presentation. Refreshment was given to the participants at the end of the event.
