CBC organizes awareness on CSSs at Sunderbani

SUNDERBANI, Feb 26: A One-Day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgaar & Ajivika Mission (Gramin) Act, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, and National Livestock Mission was organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Rajouri, at Government Industrial Training Institute here today.
Addressing the gathering, Ramkesh Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner who was the Chief Guest, highlighted various initiatives of the Government of India aimed at promoting self-reliance and employment generation. He referred to schemes, including Skill India, National Livestock Mission, DBT, Ujjwala, PMGKAY, Saubhagya, Har Ghar Jal, Swachh Bharat Mission, KCC, Stand Up India, Start Up India and Mudra Loans.
Er. Rajinder Singh, Superintendent, ITI, Sunderbani spoke on the objectives of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and outlined provisions relating to skill training, certification, placement and support for entrepreneurship.
Dr. Dalbir Singh, Assistant Veterinary Surgeon, Sheep Husbandry Department, informed participants about components of the National Livestock Mission and schemes of the Sheep Husbandry Department, including eligibility criteria and subsidy provisions. He also shared information regarding nlm.udyamimitra.in and the Kisan Sathi portal.
Harish Sharma, Rural Development Department spoke on the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgaar & Ajivika Mission (Gramin) Act-2025. He highlighted its provisions, including enhancement of administrative expenditure ceiling from 6 per cent to 9 per cent, and increase in guaranteed employment from 100 to 125 days per household annually.
Earlier, Vijay Mattoo, Incharge, CBC, Rajouri, delivered the welcome address, and outlined the objectives of the Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme and the role of the Central Bureau of Communication. Vikram Chib, ITI Sunderbani; Durga Prakash, Stage Manager CBC R.O. Jammu; staff and students also attended the programme.
Activities conducted during the programme included expert lectures, a drawing competition, an open quiz on Centrally Sponsored Schemes, distribution of New India Samachar, and cultural presentations by empanelled troupes of CBC J&K and students.
Vikram Chib conducted the proceedings and proposed the vote of thanks. Winners of competitions and guests were felicitated by CBC Rajouri.
