JKRA felicitates Asia Cup Gold Medalist Aneesha Sharma; extends financial support

JAMMU, Feb 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association (JKRA) organised a felicitation ceremony to honour Aneesha Sharma, Gold Medalist at the Asia Cup, for her outstanding achievement and for bringing laurels to the nation and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
On the occasion, the JKRA team extended financial support to Aneesha Sharma as a token of appreciation and encouragement for her remarkable accomplishment.
JKRA also congratulated Aneesha on her selection to represent India at the prestigious ISSF World Cup Zurich 2026, scheduled to be held in Zurich in June 2026. Representing the country at such a premier global platform reflects her hard work, perseverance, and competitive spirit.
Aneesha's remarkable performance at the Asia Cup has highlighted her exceptional talent, discipline, and commitment to excellence in shooting. Her achievement has made the entire region proud and has inspired many young aspiring shooters to pursue the sport with dedication and determination.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. S.S. Sodhi, Governing Body Member of the National Rifle Association of India and President, JKRA, congratulated Aneesha Sharma for her dedication and consistent hard work. He stated that her achievement is the result of focused training, mental strength, and strong support from her coaches and mentors. He further expressed confidence that she will perform exceptionally well at the ISSF World Cup Zurich 2026 and continue to raise the tricolour high on international platforms.

JKRA expressed gratitude to Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, for his continued encouragement and assurance of full support to JKRA and its shooters. His Excellency has consistently assured assistance through the Sports Council and the Sports Department to promote shooting sports and nurture young talent in the Union Territory.
JKRA reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the sport in the region and providing quality training and exposure to its athletes.
The entire JKRA fraternity wished Aneesha Sharma great success at the ISSF World Cup in Zurich and expressed confidence that she will once again make the nation proud.
