Road Safety Awareness programme organized by NSS Unit

Jammu, Feb 26: Under the able guidance of worthy Principal Prof. Archana Kaul, NSS Unit of the college successfully organized a Road Safety Awareness Programme from 25. Feb. 2026 to 26. Feb. 2026 to promote responsible and safe practices among students. As part of the event, a series of engaging and educational activities were conducted including a Painting Competition, Slogan Writing Competition, and Elocution Competition.
On 25 February 2026, the Road Safety Awareness Programme commenced with a painting competition on the theme “Safety First, Safety Always” The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various semesters. Madhav (6th Semester) secured the first position, followed by Sanam (2nd Semester) in second place, while Ananya (6th Semester) achieved the third position. The event was evaluated by the esteemed judges Prof. Ruth K. Masehi and Prof. Tania. The participants vividly expressed their ideas and awareness of road safety through creative and thought-provoking artworks, reflecting both their artistic talent and social consciousness.
On 26 February 2026, the second day of the Road Safety Awareness Programme featured a Slogan Writing Competition in the first session on the theme “Safety First, Safety Always.” Ananya (6th Semester) secured the first position, followed by Madhav (6th Semester) in second place, while Shalini (2nd Semester) achieved the third position. The competition was adjudicated by Prof. Gagandeep and Prof. Tania. In the evening session, an Elocution Competition was conducted on the topic ‘Role of Youth in Road Safety’ providing a platform for students to articulate their views on road safety and responsible citizenship. Qadir (2nd Semester) secured the first position, Manit (4th Semester) achieved second place and Dushyant (6th Semester) earned the third position. The event was judged by Dr. Kailash, Prof. Nazia and Prof. Imran.
The programme witnessed active involvement from students. NSS Programme Officers Dr. Kailash, Prof. Menaka Rajput and Prof. Dheeraj were also present in the events.
