Early Times Report
Lucknow, Mar 7: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Government of Uttar Pradesh is moving rapidly to transform the Bundelkhand region into a new hub of industrial development. As part of this effort, the land acquisition process in the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) area has accelerated, paving the way for large investments and the establishment of industries in the region. According to available data, a total of around 56,662 acres of land across 33 villages has been proposed for acquisition in the BIDA area. Of this, 35,298 acres have been approved for acquisition in the first phase and 21,364 acres in the second phase. So far, more than 24,201 acres of land have already been acquired, significantly speeding up the process of bringing industrial projects onto the ground. The CM Yogi government aims to develop Bundelkhand into one of the country’s major industrial hubs. To achieve this, continuous efforts are being made to build large-scale infrastructure, attract investment, and facilitate the establishment of industries. With the pace of land acquisition increasing, land is now becoming available for industrial projects in the region, which has also boosted investor interest. This initiative by the CM Yogi government is being seen as a significant step toward strengthening Bundelkhand from an industrial perspective, potentially turning the region into a major center for investment and industry in the coming years. About 300 acres of land in the area will be used to develop the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation project as part of the Delhi-Nagpur Industrial Corridor. This will directly connect Bundelkhand with one of the country’s major industrial corridors, giving a new boost to industrial development in the region. Alongside industrial growth, major investments are also being planned in the defence sector. On about 250 acres of land, a battle tank MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) facility and a combat vehicle manufacturing plant are proposed to be established. Through this project, modern facilities for the manufacturing and maintenance of defence equipment will be developed in the region. |
