ADCs, DIO, and the media persons of the district attended the meeting.
The session aimed to enhance coordination between the district administration and the press so the objectives of public-centric governance and effective grievance redressal are realized.
Addressing the meeting, the DC described the media as a vital link between the public and the administration, which helps to provide feedback from people and identify areas requiring urgent attention.
He emphasized the role of ethical journalism in development and public welfare and urged the media persons to adhere to its principles and standards.
Dr. Bhat called upon the media to highlight the benefits of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and government initiatives and to constructively point out lacunae or gaps in implementation so the administration can take corrective measures.
