SRINAGAR, Mar 7: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah has paid heartfelt tributes to Mufassir-e-Qur'an, Moulana Muhammad Yusuf Shah (RA), recognizing his immense and selfless contributions to the field of Islamic theology and Kashmiri language. Dr. Farooq highlighted Mirwaiz Moulana Yousuf Shah's invaluable contributions, particularly his groundbreaking translation and commentary of the Holy Qur'an into Kashmiri, which has served as a pillar of spiritual guidance in the region. "His pioneering efforts not only made the sacred teachings more accessible to the Kashmiri-speaking population but also strengthened the cultural identity of the community thus solidifying his legacy as a revered figure in religious and literary circles," Dr Farooq said. Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq have also offered glowing tributes to late Moulana Mohammad Yousuf Shah. |
