JAMMU, Mar 17: Delhi Public School, Jammu organized an enriching and insightful workshop on "Writing Skills and Use of AI Tools in Teaching English" for teachers of Classes IV to VIII on 16 March 2026. The workshop aimed to equip educators with innovative strategies and modern technological tools to enhance the teaching-learning process and strengthen students' writing abilities.
The session was conducted by Shradha Anand, an eminent educationist and experienced resource person known for conducting school workshops across India. With over 22 years of experience in curriculum and materials development for CBSE, ICSE, and State Boards, she has authored several widely appreciated textbooks on English, General Knowledge, Value Education, Social Studies, and Preschool education.
The workshop commenced with a warm felicitation of the Resource Person by the Vice Principal, Meenu Gupta. In her address, she highlighted the importance of nurturing strong writing skills among students and emphasized the growing role of technology and AI tools in modern education. She encouraged the teachers to make the most of the workshop and explore innovative strategies to enhance their classroom practices.
During the workshop, Shradha Anand introduced various innovative teaching methodologies and demonstrated how Artificial Intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, Curipod, and Gemini can support teachers in lesson planning, content creation, and language learning activities. She also emphasized that creativity, clarity, and critical thinking are essential elements of effective writing.
The session was highly interactive and engaging, with teachers actively participating in discussions, activities, and demonstrations. The workshop provided valuable insights and practical techniques that teachers can implement in their classrooms to strengthen students' language proficiency and confidence in writing.
The workshop was attended by English teachers from the Primary and Middle Wings, who appreciated the practical strategies and interactive approach that made the session both meaningful and enriching.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra, emphasized that developing strong writing skills along with the effective use of AI tools can help shape confident, creative, and competent learners. She encouraged teachers to integrate the strategies shared during the workshop to make English learning more engaging and meaningful for students.
