Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 24: With the objective of enhancing labor efficiency and reducing operational turnaround times, there is a continuous emphasis on adopting modern technologies for freight transport and handling. In line with this initiative, an conveyor-based system for the handling of cement bags-implemented by M/s UltraTech-was commissioned today, March 24, at the rail head of the Chhann Arorian Goods Shed within the Jammu Division. The primary objective of this new initiative is to streamline the process of loading and unloading cement bags. The utilization of this conveyor system will not only improve the efficiency of manual labor but also result in a significant reduction in the time required for bag handling. The commissioning of this facility is expected to bring about a remarkable improvement in operational efficiency and reduce the 'Wagon Turnaround Time,' thereby accelerating the pace of rail traffic and freight movement. This step marks a significant advancement towards modernizing logistics and rail operations.
