| We have celebrated/observed world water day on 22rd March and on this occasion, we resolve to conserve every drop of water for our own-self and also for future generations. On this day it is emphasized to make people aware about the need and necessity of conserving water which is a scarce natural resource and the governments and people across the world realize the importance of water and its judicious use for the interest of the humanity.‘’ Water, water everywhere not a drop to drink is not a theoretical postulate but a practical proposition as well and so it is true about the water need, crisis and management of the portable and drinking water No water, no life should be the maxim and principle which should guide us in preserving water and making judicious use of this scarce resource. Even though water is in abundance on the earth but drinking water is a scarce commodity and this forces and guides us to conserve water. On 22 March we have celebrated world water day and on this occasion every year we resolve and pledge to use drinking water most economically and judiciously and make efforts for the conservation of water so that it can be used and consumed by ourselves and our future generations. .
Many functions were organized by the government and NGO ’s ,voluntary associations and the general public to bring home the point that water conservation is must for the sustenance of all life forms on the earth. At the outset it is in the fitness of things and pertinent to say that water is the most indispensable for all living beings including to the vegetation on this planet and for the human life drinking water is most indispensible and one cannot imagine about human life without water as drinking of water is very essential for human beings ,animals and for all vegetation including plants and trees .It is important to note that water is one of the essential elements of the five essential elements of the universe and air ,fire ,sky ,water and earth are the five elements of which the whole universe is formed and therefore water being one of the five important elements is most essential and we should preserve ,conserve and make a very judicious use of the water so that water can be saved for coming generations. Drinking water being scare commodity, it is very essential to save water for ourselves and for the future generations. All we should do is that drinking water should not be used for other activities and by adhering to this the wastage of water can be reduced to optimum level.
We need water not only for quenching thirst but for doing other chorus and therefore we should pay utmost attention towards preserving water and more so the drinking water for ourselves and for our future generations as without water human, animal and other living plants, trees and vegetation is not possible and so it is important for men to preserve water and make a judicious use of the water so that we can save water for the future generations. As without water we cannot think of life on the planet and so is important to make an efficient and judicious use of this scarce commodity for the all living beings even the vegetations on this planet .Without water Life is impossible and water being a scarce commodity should be conserved and saved not only for ourselves but for the future generations. There should be no water crisis and for this water should be put to use very judiciously and efficiently for ourselves and for the coming generations ,otherwise life is impossible and therefore we the human beings has the responsibility to make a very judicious use of this scarce water so that we have not to face water crisis .Water being one of the five important elements which is scare should be put to use very efficiently and judiciously so that our and future generations do not face any problem of the shortage of drinking water .
For human and animal life drinking water is most essential .Staying hydrated is one of the best things you can do for your overall health .Staying hydrated can help support physical performance ,prevent headaches and constipation and more. It is commonly recommended that one should consume 8 ounce that is 237 ml of water per day to stay living healthy and happy .Although there is little science behind this specific rule, staying dehydrated is important.
There are seven evidence –based health benefits of drinking plenty of water .One -,It helps maximum physical performance .two-Drinking of plenty of water significantly affects energy levels and brain function .Your brain is strongly influenced by your hydration status .Mild dehydration can impair energy levels ,impair mood ,and lead to major reductions in memory and brain performance.
Three—Drinking enough of water may prevent and treat headaches .Four—Drinking plenty of water may help relieve constipation .Drinking plenty of water may help prevent and relieve constipation in people who generally do not drink enough water .Five—Plenty of drinking water helps treat kidney problems. Increased water intake appears to decrease the risk of kidney stone formation .Six- Help prevent hangovers .Hangovers are partly caused by dehydration and drinking water can help reduce some of main symptoms of hangovers .
Seventh-drinking of plenty of water reduces fatigue in the people and one feels fresh and refreshed after consuming water .
Therefore people should make it a habit of taking enough and adequate water for good health .Water is one of the important resources on the planet .Without water life cannot exist .But what makes water so important?
Water has several unique characteristics that makes it extremely valuable resource .Some such properties of water are given as under—1-Water is a good solvent-it has the power to dissolve many substances.2-The boiling point and freezing point of water makes it easily available in all the three states of solid ,liquid and gas.3-The specific heat of water is very high.
This enables water to absorb and release heat slowly thereby regulating the temperature of environment.4-Owing to its transparency ,water can allow light to reach life forms that are submerged in it.
This is crucial for the survival of plant and vegetation on the planet earth.5- water is neither acidic nor basic in nature ,It has a PH of 7making it a natural substance .These unique qualities of water along with its abundance on the planet is important for peoples use in different things and uses.71% of the earth’s surface is made up of water makes it crucial for resource on the planet for plants ,animals and human beings .Here are some of the reasons why you need to save water .Saving money on your power bills by using less energy to heat and pump water .Delay or prevent expansion of costly water and waste wastewater treatment plants in your community which can save money on taxes .It will reduce shortage frequency and impacts .There is urgent need to conserve drinking water for the future generations and for our use as well .Conserving water reduces the demand to create and maintain water treatment and delivery systems .such as sewerage plants and individual septic .Water is necessary for the sustenance of human life .While the supply seems abundant ,water is not a limitless resource ,particularly the fresh portable water most valuable and necessary for human survival .Without conservation efforts ,this vital supply of water may be exhausted .
Conservation carries economic benefits as well, as energy and equipment are also conserved as a direct result of water preservation efforts .The majority of life on the earth is at least indirectly tied to supply of water .
Conservation process protects the balance of life on earth ,which would be upset by a reduction in water supply .Over use of water threatens other life forms which help sustain us .The united States Bureau of Reclamation reports that during the past 100 years ,some 21 species of fish became extinct in 17 western states in part due to the altercation of habitat .Water is not processed and delivered to your doorsteps without cost and free .Every time you use water ,your local utility charges you a fee .The greater the demand of water ,the greater the price you will be charged .By conserving water ,you will save money both in terms of the quantity used and the price per unit .Over consumption of water leads to the over-consumption of another non -renewable resource energy .
The people should be made aware about the need and necessity of conserving drinking water and we should not waste water but make best ,efficient and judicious use of water so that this scare natural resource is saved for the future generations .
If we do not make sincere and honest efforts to conserve and save water for the coming generations ,we will face doom and therefore it is most important to judiciously use water and limit its wastage as for as possible so that there will be no water shortage and water crisis in present and future .
In brief I can say that water is an essential natural resource and it must be used judiciously for ourselves and also for the future generations otherwise the future generations will cure us. This is the right message on the World water Day.
