SJVN successfully organised 25th Inter-CPSU Kabaddi Tournament at Rampur HPS

SHIMLA, Mar 26: Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN, congratulated team BBMB, the winning team of 25th Inter-CPSU Kabaddi Tournament organised by SJVN. Gupta praised all participants for their excellent performance and reiterated the importance of sports in strengthening teamwork, discipline and a healthy competitive spirit among the employees.
Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN graced the Closing Ceremony as Chief Guest. Sharma congratulated the organizers for successfully organising the tournament and also congratulated the winners & all participating teams.
In his address, Sharma stated that SJVN has always been committed to promoting sports and encouraging athletes. SJVN firmly believes that sports not only strengthen the physical health of employees but also enhance their mental well-being and leadership capabilities, which are essential for the success of any organization. Such events play a significant role in supporting Government of India initiatives like 'Khelo India' and the 'Fit India Movement'.
Ajay Kumar Sharma, presented Trophies, Medals and Certificates to the winning and runner-up teams. The final match was played between SJVN and BBMB, where BBMB emerged as the winner of the tournament. SJVN secured the first runner-up position, while PGCIL emerged as the second runner-up of the tournament. Aakash from BBMB was declared Player of the Tournament, Vikram Sharma from SJVN was awarded Best Raider and Surinder Singh from BBMB was awarded the title of Best Defender. They were felicitated by the Chief Guest.
On this occasion, Vikas Marwah, HOP, Rampur HPS, Rajeev Kapoor, HOP, NJHPS and Vivek Sharma, HOP, LHEP-1 along with senior officials from RHPS, NJHPS & LHEP-1 were also present.
The three-day Inter-CPSU Kabaddi Tournament organised by SJVN at its 412 MW RHPS was conducted under aegis of the Power Sports Control Board and witnessed enthusiastic participation from MoP, CEA, BBMB, NHPC, PGCIL, REC, THDC and hosting team SJVN.
