Early Times Report RAJOURI, Apr 1: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) on Wednesday launched its annual admission prospectus for the academic session 2026-27, introducing new courses and further expanding its academic framework. The prospectus was formally released by Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal in the presence of Abhishek Sharma, IAS Registrar BGSBU , Dean/ Associate Deans of Schools, Heads of various Departments and officers of the University. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Jawaid Iqbal stated that the University is aiming to enroll a higher number of students this year, building upon the upward admission trend observed in the previous academic session. He highlighted that several new courses have been introduced, including one-year Master's programme across all PG Departments for students who have completed a four-year undergraduate degree, in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020. He further informed that the University has already commenced undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, reflecting its commitment to innovation and future-ready education. The Vice Chancellor emphasized that these initiatives are designed to enhance academic opportunities for students and align the institution with evolving educational standards and industry requirements. |
