Early Times Report POONCH, Apr 2: Ajaz Jan, MLA Poonch, raised serious concerns in the J&K Assembly Jammu regarding staff shortage in Municipality Poonch. He highlighted that only a few need-based workers are currently engaged, making it extremely difficult to manage municipal work efficiently. He urged the government to engage additional workers on need-based or contractual basis to ensure proper functioning. He also strongly raised the issue of CAMPA forest workers, appreciating their excellent work despite receiving a meager salary of just ?2100 per month. He termed this as injustice and demanded that until they are regularized, their wages should be increased to at least ?11,000 per month. He emphasized that these workers belong to very poor and needy families and deserve fair compensation for their hard work. |
