SRINAGAR, Apr 2: Police on Thursday attached a residential house worth Rs 30 lakhs in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. “As part of intensified campaign against narcotics trafficking and with an aim to dismantle the financial network of the drug trade, police in Pulwama district has attached a double-storied residential house valued at approximately Rs 30 lakhs, situated at Waghama,” a police spokesperson said. The spokesperson said the attached property belongs to Athar Maqbool and was acquired through proceeds of narcotics trafficking. The property was seized and attached under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, he said, adding the accused is involved in a case under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Litter. |
