LG attends foundation day of Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir

JAMMU, Apr 23: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today attended the foundation day of Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir at Dhammi, Nagrota.
The Lieutenant Governor paid obeisance at the holy temple and prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of all.
The religious proceedings were marked by the lighting of the Akhand Jyot and the traditional reciting of Ved Path.
During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor also reviewed the ongoing construction works of Yatri Halls, being developed by the Temple Committee, to facilitate the devotees traveling to the Shri Amarnath Ji and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. He assured all the necessary support and assistance from the administration.
Sanjay Gandotra, President, Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir, and temple committee members including Dr DS Jamwal, Vikas Singh Jamwal, Praveen Singh, Balwan Singh were present.
Devyani Rana, Member of Legislative Assembly from Nagrota; Dr Nirmal Singh, former Deputy Chief Minister; Purnima Sharma, former Deputy Mayor, JMC, senior officials and devotees in large number also attended the foundation day ceremony.
