Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 23: Unique International Public School marked Earth Day with great zeal and environmental awareness through a series of meaningful and engaging activities conducted on the school campus. The celebration aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among students towards protecting and preserving the environment. The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the In-charge, Ms. Randeep Kaur, who highlighted the significance of Earth Day and encouraged students to contribute towards a greener planet. A variety of activities, including poster making, speeches, dance performances, and a thought-provoking skit, were organized to engage students creatively and spread awareness about environmental conservation. A plantation drive was also conducted, during which students and staff planted saplings within the school premises, reinforcing the message of sustainability and care for nature. Vice Principal Mr. Ashok Bhasin, while addressing the gathering, motivated students to adopt eco-friendly habits and emphasized the importance of small yet impactful steps such as saving water and reducing plastic usage. Administrator Gagandeep Bedi encouraged students to respect nature and take active steps in spreading environmental awareness within their communities. MD Ma'am Ms. Nirlep Kour extended her best wishes to the students and appreciated their enthusiastic participation in the activities. Chairman S. Jasbir Singh, in his message, urged students to become responsible citizens and act as ambassadors of change, emphasizing that collective efforts are essential for a sustainable future.
