Jammu, May 12: Centre for Educational Technology organised a hands-on workshop on “Moodle-Based Course Development” on the occasion of National Technology Day. Under TEL initiatives, around 30 faculty members from School of Education and School of Social Sciences & humanities of the College participated in the workshop conducted in the Computer Lab, Admin Wing. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Mool Raj, Head, Centre for Educational Technology (CET), who provided hands-on training to the faculty members on LMS access, creation of course shells, development of standardised course structure, uploading of academic resources, and organisation of digital learning content for the forthcoming semester. The session aimed at strengthening technology-enabled teaching-learning practices and promoting effective use of the College LMS for blended and online learning. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Mool Raj highlighted the significance of National Technology Day and stated that technology has become an essential academic enabler in higher education, transforming teaching, learning, assessment, and academic communication. He emphasised the importance of faculty readiness and institutional digital preparedness in the contemporary educational landscape. Prof. Adit Gupta, Principal and Director of the College appreciated the efforts of the Centre for Educational Technology for organising meaningful faculty development initiatives and promoting effective integration of educational technologies in the institution. The workshop concluded with practical course development activities and active faculty participation. |
