Early Times Report JAMMU, May 12: On the eve of the 14th Foundation Day of Yuva Rajput Sabha-J&K, a grand and impactful Drug Awareness Rally was organised in Jammu with the objective of awakening society, especially the youth, against the growing menace of drug abuse in Jammu & Kashmir and across the nation. The rally commenced from the historic Maharaja Hari Singh Palace and culminated at the iconic Maharaja Hari Singh Statue, where hundreds of energetic and socially conscious youth participated with immense enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. Participants marched through the route carrying banners, placards, and raising powerful slogans including: "Nashe Ko Bhaganaa Hai, Desh Ko Bachana Hai", "Band Karo Band Karo, Nashe Ka Dhandha Band Karo", "Youth Against Drugs", and "Save Future, Say No to Drugs." The rally witnessed active participation from members of Yuva Rajput Sabha-J&K, social activists, students, youth volunteers, and prominent citizens who collectively pledged to strengthen the fight against drug addiction and drug trafficking. Addressing the media on the occasion, President of Yuva Rajput Sabha-J&K, Mandeep Singh Rimpy said that drug abuse has emerged as one of the biggest threats to the younger generation and requires collective social resistance. He stated that the organisation has always stood for social reform, youth empowerment, and preservation of moral values, and this awareness rally was a step towards mobilising society against the dangerous network of narcotics. He emphasized that merely administrative action is not enough unless society itself rises united against this evil. He appealed to parents, teachers, religious organisations, and social bodies to actively participate in guiding the youth towards education, sports, employment, and nationalism. |
