"Congress Will Be Strengthened From Booth to Block Level Through SSA Phase-2": Bhalla/Sawhney

JAMMU, May 12: District Congress Committee Jammu Urban today held an important meeting regarding the ongoing "Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan (SSA) - Phase 2" at Congress office, Shaheedi Chowk Jammu. The meeting was held under the leadership of Ex-Minister & President DCC Jammu Urban Yogesh Sawhney and was presided over by Working President Raman Bhalla, and attended by senior Congress leaders including Ex-Ministers Mula Ram, Gurbachan Kumari Rana, Abdul Majid Wani, Ex-MLC Ved Mahajan along with several senior office bearers and party workers. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding strengthening the organisation at booth, ward, mandal and block levels under Phase-2 of the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan. Following the meeting, DCC Jammu Urban held a press conference regarding the same program, addressed by DCC Jammu Urban President and former Minister J&K Yogesh Sawhney along with senior Congress leaders, office bearers and party workers.
The meeting and press conference were attended by Working President Raman Bhalla, PCC Coordinator Mula Ram, Ex Minister & DCC President Jammu Urban Yogesh Sawhney, Gurbachan Kumari Rana, Abdul Majid Wani, Jatinder Bisht, Pawan Dev Singh, Assembly Incharges Amrit Bali, Sohit Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Satish Sharma and Surinder Kumar. Block Presidents including Nageshwar Narayan, Ajay Kumar, Pardeep Bhalla, Rakesh Sharma, Sanjeev Katal, Janak Raj, H.S. Baggi, R.S. Randhawa, Gurmeet Singh, Sandeep Dogra, Satpal Sapolia, Pawan Bhagat, Parveen Singh, Vijay Malhotra, Rajindra Singh Jamwal, Balwinder Singh Rinku and Rishu Kumar Mehra, along with senior party leaders and workers, were also present during the programme.
Addressing the media, Working President JKPCC Raman Bhalla said that strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level is the need of the hour and every Congress worker must actively participate in the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan with dedication and discipline. Various organisational activities being carried out under the campaign were reviewed and leaders stressed upon strengthening coordination, unity and active participation of workers at every level to make the campaign successful across Jammu and Kashmir. He further stated that booth and ward-level workers are the backbone of the organisation and therefore the party leadership is committed to empowering active workers at every level. He said that Congress has always stood with the people and raised issues concerning common citizens, and a stronger organisational structure will further enhance the party's ability to effectively highlight public concerns and remain connected with the masses. He also said that strengthening the organisation requires continuous public outreach, regular interaction with people and strong coordination among party workers at all levels. He further said that the people of Jammu & Kashmir are facing several important issues including unemployment, inflation, rising public grievances and inadequate civic facilities, and therefore there is a strong need for an active and responsive opposition that remains connected with the masses, adding that Congress workers must continue to work among the people and raise issues concerning youth, traders, women and common citizens in a strong and democratic manner. He discussed in detail the roadmap of the campaign and reviewed various organisational activities being carried out under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.
