| Samba police carried out destruction of wild cannabis spread over Government land in Ghagwal area | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, May 12: Continuing its sustained crackdown against narcotics and drug abuse under the ongoing "Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan," Samba Police under the supervision of SSP Samba, Anuj Kumar-IPS today carried out a major operation for the destruction of wild Cannabis (Bhang) spread over approximately 10 kanals of government land in village Rattwana, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal. The drive has been carried out by Samba Police led by Addl. SP Samba accompanied by DySP Hqrs Samba and SHO PS Ghagwal along with Executive Magistrate Surara. During the operation, wild cannabis plants growing across the identified government land were destroyed to prevent their misuse in illegal narcotic activities. The initiative forms part of Samba Police's broader strategy to combat the drug menace and safeguard the youth from the harmful effects of substance abuse. Samba Police appeal to the general public to come forward and cooperate in the fight against drugs by sharing any information related to drug trafficking or substance abuse. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential. |
